Upgrading to AST1
If you’d like to upgrade this weekend course and get a certificate for AST 1, you will need to take an additional day in the field. Field day involves viewing climbs and discussing avalanche paths. In the morning we will focus on how to read and assess the terrain above the climbs. We will then move closer to the base of the climbs to practice probing, beacon searching, and the latest shovelling techniques.
Scheduled date is January 7, 2023. Cost $95 (plus GST).
Email for details or to book directly with PeakSTRATAGEM.
If you’ve already completed AST1, and wondering if this course is for you, read on.
