The social engineering that we are barraged by every day systematically erases the normal healthy boundaries that human animals inherently possess and replaces these with the larger social agenda. In this way we let go of what we want and need, and begin to believe that we want what society tells us we want. In this way we lose ourselves to the hierarchical world of man-made status and power. It can take us a lifetime to uncover our original passions and desires. Or it can come about from a traumatic event like a near-death experience or the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, where the force of the new trauma shifts the seat of our consciousness such that the programming is overridden and what is inherently important to us rises to the surface.
The good news is that we don’t need to attach our circuits to tribal belief systems, but instead can operate outside of these. In order to do this we must direct our energy from the inside out, aligning ourselves in present time by calling our spirit back from events that are draining us of our power. Keeping our attention focussed on our own internal compass, we command our energy to remain within our body instead of leaking out into situations that essentially have no meaning.
Every moment of every day, forces are competing to capture the most precious resource we have in this world: the focus of our attention. Becoming conscious of where we invest this life force is the secret to creating the best possible version of our lives and ourselves.

Margo, you are so spot on there, that it’s uncanny.
Maybe it’s the full moon, but it’s exactly what I’ve been thinking and feeling.
We are intuitive animals.
Take what you have gathered from coincidence. (as Bob Dylan wrote.)
Good luck with the book.
See you somewhere down the road.
Saw a brilliant PIXAR movie today called ”inside out”. It focused on our ”internal compass” our emotions. I do believe that be being deeply in tune with what feel we can focus our attention on what is truly important to us. It is as simple as what feels right and what doesn’t.
